February 28, 2013 - The February issue of "Wired" Magazine featured cover stars Richard Branson and the rest of the Virgin Galactic team. The publication’s lead feature contains some stunning imagery taken at Spaceport New Mexico – the home of the world’s first commercial spaceline – as well as some insightful interviews with those who are making Virgin’s dream of space travel become a reality.

During his interview the Virgin Group Founder intriguingly reveals how in the late 1980s he was invited by Mikhail Gorbachev to become the first tourist in space, but decided to politely decline the offer: “It would have cost $50m or something. I just felt that to spend that sort of money going into space, people might feel it was a bit of a waste.”
Now Branson hopes Virgin Galactic can spearhead "the beginning of a whole new era in space travel". He added: "We can send enormous quantities of people into space who come back determined to make a difference.
